Amareda Hess uses Red Hat for supercomputing cluster

Amareda Hess Exploration Department runs a cluster of 128 Red Hat Linux workstations to replace a leased supercomputer, saving more than $2 million. This cluster is used to perform mathematical functions for 3D modeling to help to find geologic structures that might contain oil or gas in hard-to-reach offshore areas.
