Oracle, CA, and Informix join Netscape, Corel, Cygnus, and Interbase in making Red Hat a supported platform.

Oracle Corporation, the leading supplier of software for information management, announced support for Red Hat Linux 5.1. Oracle also announced plans to port Oracle8 and Oracle8.1, which are scheduled to ship by year's end, to Linux on the Intel platform by early 1999. With the support of Oracle and Netscape, as well as the support of other leading vendors like Informix, Computer Associates, Interbase, Corel, and Cygnus, Red Hat Linux now had the applications that the industry demanded.
