First commercial support for Red Hat Linux 5 (Intel and Alpha)

On December 1, 1997, Red Hat began offering support contracts for the Intel platform (with Alpha and SPARC support to follow in 1998). Resources include an internet-based solution database of technical information, a centralized trouble ticket system, a technical mailing list, and assistance with difficult support questions provided by Red Hat's support and development departments.
