The DoD Directive 8570 is a formalized training and certification policy for all personnel with access to DoD information systems. It specifies that all Information Assurance (IA) personnel be trained and certified according to their job functions. All IA workforce in the Technical category (IAT) must obtain IA certification and an operating system certification for the operating system(s) they support.
Red Hat offers world class certifications on its Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system and the system administration tasks associated with it. Given that the DoD is a large consumer of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux product, we are offering DoD Information Assurance personnel a special training offer to help comply with DoD Directive 8570.
