All associates are eligible to enroll in the plan on the first of the month following their date of hire, if they are at least 21 years of age. Associates may contribute (pre-tax) 1% - 60% of earnings. Red Hat will match $.50 for every $1.00 contributed to the first 6% of contributions that associates make. Associates are eligible to roll over a distribution from a previous employer's Qualified Plan upon hire. Associates are 100% vested immediately on the match.
Full-time associates are offered short and long term disability on the first day of employment. Although we hope you never need it, the plan offers associates the opportunity to receive short and long term salary replacement should they become temporarily or permanently disabled.
