On Top of the Government Channel… Again!
August 23, 2007
by Government Team
We’re happy to share that for the second time this year, Mike Byrd, Red Hat’s director of government channel sales, has been recognized as a top channel leader. Earlier this year, Mike was named as one of GovernmentVAR Magazine’s 25 Public Sector Channel Leaders. Following suit, earlier this week, Washington Technology honored Mike with its prestigious Channel Leadership award. What makes Mike a leader in the government channel? According to Washington Technology:
Byrd came to Red Hat specifically to build the government channel, which has doubled each of the last three years. Byrd established partnerships with resellers, systems integrators, original equipment distributors and others to make Red Hat more easily accessible to the government customer.
We’re always proud when one of our own is recognized for a job well done. Congratulations to Mike on the recognition he’s received this year! We expect this isn’t the last year we’ll see him listed among the channel elite.
