The Unstoppable March of Open Source

This week, in its annual Top 100 list, SD Times pointed out the phenomena of the “unstoppable march of open source.” We couldn’t agree more with this theme and have been leading this march toward open source inevitability. Our proof points can be seen in a recent list of accolades received by Red Hat and its leading open source solutions:

Aberdeen Group: Red Hat included as #21 in the Top 100 Most Influential Technology Vendors of 2008

But, it’s not just about the awards we are winning, it’s about Red Hat’s leadership in the open source community. Having a robust community is essentially what makes us consistently successful, and allows us to gather recognition for our products like the accolades above. The community keeps us at the forefront as we continue to lead this march in a collaborative and community-driven way.
