Five Stars for Red Hat’s Channel Program
March 30, 2010
by The Channel Team
Each year CRN rates the channel programs of companies across the enterprise IT market and we are pleased to announce that Red Hat’s program has been named a Five-Star Winner in this year’s CRN Partner Program Guide. The Everything Channel Partner Program Guide and Five-Star Rating is a listing of vendors who either have programs that service solution providers or provide products to the channel, and a Five-Star rating for Red Hat’s Partner Program recognizes that our program gives solution providers and partners some of the very best features in a comprehensive partner program.
Everything Channel has created a methodology in which vendors are assessed on information provided in their completed applications. The objective criteria takes into account the rank of each vendor’s channel leadership, the percent of revenue derived through the channel, the percent of products and services sold through the channel, their investments in channel programs, and communications with partners.
Red Hat intends to continue making investments in these areas to maintain the channel route-to-market as a growth engine for Red Hat. We have seen the channel growth trajectory continue to lead up and to the right, and channel growth has consistently made an important contribution to our quarterly bookings. Our investments and consistent communications through our partner newsletters, events and Channel Account Mangers have helped us capture the potential of the channels, and we believe our growth numbers are showing that. We remain committed to our partners and intend to continue expanding our ecosystem.
We believe that our channel partners are successful because of Red Hat’s value proposition and continual investment and sales enablement.
