Red Hat Named Among Glassdoor's Top 50 Best Places to Work
December 12, 2012
Red Hat Corporate Communications Team
Red Hat has been recognized by Glassdoor’s fifth annual Employees’ Choice Awards, a list of the Top 50 Best Places to Work. The announcement made Wednesday, Dec 12, ranked Red Hat 33rd above the likes of Apple, Boeing and Turner Broadcasting. Glassdoor, a free jobs and career community, provides an outlet where employees, job seekers, and companies themselves can provide anonymous information on a company including company reviews, salaries, interview questions and more.
To be considered for Glassdoor’s annual list, companies had to have at least 25 approved company reviews by employees for every 12 months. Reviews asked employees to rate their company, workplace attributes and CEO. Unlike many workplace-related awards, the Glassdoor list is based solely on input provided by employees.
Currently, 83 percent of Red Hat employees participating on Glassdoor would recommend Red Hat to a friend and 92 percent approve of Red Hat president and CEO, Jim Whitehurst. Regarding employee satisfaction, employees gave Red Hat 4 out 5 stars for Work/Life Balance and Culture & Values.
A channel account manager said of Red Hat on Glassdoor, "Join one of the few defining technology companies of the 21st century, and really enjoy your work."
Congratulations to Red Hat and all of our associates for making Red Hat one of the best places to work.
