Can you clean up the patch set to just contain the bits we actually want
and not have the UI changes and the revert?  The end result looks good
and a flattened diff followed by git diff --interactive should let you
get two nice commits pretty simply.

The comments about making sure this gets into the release notes as well
as updating kickstart docs on the wiki is valid too.
