That wouldn't work for repos added in ks - of course, we could add a check in earlier stage there too, but the main reason is that it gives user chance to fix the malformed nfs url in Edit repo dialog (called by editRepoWindow) appearing after repository setup fail (this concerns e.g. the case when malformed repo= boot parameter is given).
