Raid-0 -- partition sizes

Anyone have some help on this?
I think I can fix my raid problem... but this would be better anyhow :)
thinking about it though... wouldn't I need /lib to boot? Exactly how
split up can partitions be? What HAS to be in the root partition in order
for it too boot... I mean I could have basic /lib and mount over it with
another partition... that seems really messy... its what I have to do
for my netboot machines... but it makes more sense because they remount
a r/o partition which they all share...
