I guess I'd just recommend to use whatever the stock driver is, unless you
are experiencing problems of some kind.

You might want to try rawhide.redhat.com.  But be careful; some of the
stuff there is literally a bit raw. ;)  FWIW, I never experienced this
particular problem on my system.
