I haven't heard of a GTK port, but I know a QT version was done.  The QT
version was done 5 days after the initial release of the code, but worked
as well (or perhaps faster) than code compiled for motif.  I haven't
checked back, as I could ONLY get it to compile under x86, so I didn't
bother with it........Perhaps it's changed??
