Latest SRM and ARC ?

What are the latest versions of the SRM and ARC for Multia?
I'm now running on SRM V3.8-3 dated August 95, and ARC 4.33.

I got the images udbupd38.img and udbfsl38.img from
ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/readmes/interim/multia/.
To be on the safe side, I tried booting off the failsafe disk first,
that gave me SRM V3.8-36 dated January'96.

Encouraged, I tried to do the update according to the manual. Everything
seems to go flawlessly, but afterwards I still have the same SRM and ARC 
I started with. Are they really the latest revisions? Why is the failsafe
SRM newer?
