Hi,
I need your help.
I'm working on a DEC Alpha PC164SX with a lot of RAM.
An ASUS SC875 UW SCSI controller
one IBM DDRS 4.5 GB UW-SCSI harddisk on SCSI id 0
one CD-drive Toshiba XM 6201B
RedHat 5.2 default kernel (2.0.35)
and all works fine. But then I want to connect a second SCSI harddisk
(Seagate ST1515W) and the kernel cannot boot any more. It stops with an
arbitrary error message when unzipping the kernel and the message "halted".
BIOS and MILO recognizes the second harddisk!
I tried to recompile the kernel only with NCR53C8xx support with
different options ("use normal IO,...) but this does not help.
What goes wrong?
Thanks
ap
