core dumping for DU emulation

I cannot run gdb on the core files from DU-compiled processes (COFF)
running under DU emulation on Linux. 'file core' doesn't even recognize it
as core file. It appears that this core file is just a straight image of
memory of the process at time of death, without necessary headers and
register dumps...

Anyone has any advice?
