I have _never_ found sound support in Linux, let alone Alpha Linux to be an
"easy proposition.
I have had the pleasure of installing the OSS stuff from 4front a few
times, on different machines, on different Linux kernels and on different
Red Hat versions. I had no difficulties and was up and running in 15
minutes in every case. Their included tools are also very handy.
