100 Mbit card on PC164

Hello,
I am having a hell of a time trying to get a 100 mbit card on this
machine.
It works nicely with an old faithful WD8013.
I tried without success :
- a DE500 (but it has a 21143 chip, rather tahn the 21142 usually
metioned, and the BIOS does not find it suitable either)
- a 3C905 for which I tried to buid a kernel with some recent patch
found on gatekeeper. Thsi kernel hangs when adressing the card.

I did not find a SMC 100 mbit card around here. Can someone point me to
an european source ?
