Well you lost me here. /dev/hda is the whole disk. So be more specific in
how you laid out your drive.
And you made two roots directories?
But most important is to noet that AXP is a list for Digital Alpha systems
and you 486 is not an Alpha system. So I guess your questions is better
posted on another mailinglist like the redhat-install mailinglist.
