AS 600 5/266 scsi errors on RH 5 install

Hello:

I've gotten to the point where I can boot from the SRM console, but after 
loading up the compressed kernel images I get timeout errors and then a hang 
re. the SCSI bus. I'm using alcor-s.img to boot from, and using the line
boot dva0 -file vmlinux.gz -flags "load_ramdisk=1 prompt_ramdisk=1 
root=/dev/fd0"

The controller is a QISP 1020 - which is said to be supported. Here are the 
errors:

SCSI: QLogic ISP 1020 on PCI bus 1 device 1 irq 33 base 0x9000
SCSI: 2 hosts
(finds the hdds - both DEC RZ26L Rev 442E)
SCSI: aborting command due to time out: pid 14
           scsi channel0 id5 lun0
Qlogicisp: mbox_command loop timeout #2
Qlogicisp: scsi abort function: 8002

then hangs with
probably an unrecoverable SCSI bus or device hang

This box has NT 351 on the first of the hdds, so I know it works. Darn...so 
close. Any suggestions?????
