I am anxiously trying to get g77 installed on an Alpha system, but it
doesn't work. The installation halts at one stage because it tries to
execute code written for Intels. However, I do use the latest version of
the required packages, as suggested by many people previously on this
mailing list and in various Readme's.
Is there a quick and dirty way to get it installed? I use Red Hat Linux
version 5.
Thanks in advance!!
Ingo
