PPP problems with RH 5.0

Hi,

I don't know, if this has already been discussed. If it
has, I'm sorry.

I seem to have some problems with ppp on my alpha. This is
what /var/log/messages says:

pppd[268]: pppd 2.2.0 started by root, uid 0

...The usual chat output...

pppd[268]: Using interface ppp0
pppd[268]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/modem
pppd[268]: Remote message:

pppd[268]: ioctl(SIOCADDRT) device route: Network is unreachable

pppd[268]: Connection terminated.
pppd[268]: Exit.

Strangely enough, I use the same configuration files and scripts on my
486, and that one _can_ establish a succesful connection. Can anyone
help me out?
