Hello,
Upon attempting to compile the Mozilla Netscape
source code for the alpha (www.mozilla.org), I received some compile
errors that appeared to be due to the Motif 1.2 requirement -ie
I do not have Motif.
I found the Lesstif clone but it would not compile claiming that
Xt toolkit could not find X11R6 (it is there) even though the
config script *seems* to be looking in the correct place. The log
says that conftest.c and Intrinsic.h files cannot be found, thus
generating the error.
I now have autoconf (gnu freeware) which I think will help, but why
should I have Xt (X toolkit) when Motif is not a "requirement" for
Lesstif??
Bottom line: has anyone successfully compiled the Netscape package
on RH 5.0 for alpha with Lesstif? How to do it? :-)
Or is the "real" Motif 1.2 (commercial version) a requirement
for the mozilla.org Netscape source?
Any time-saving tips would be GREATLY appreciated!!
-s
ps thanks to *all* who helped with my matrox millenium problem
