Dear hackers,
I don't know whether this has been discussed on this list already.
Sorry for spamming if it already has been.
I had no problems compiling linux-2.1.99 with the standard gcc 2.7.2.3
that comes with rh5.0.
I updated to gcc 2.8.1 one time and to egcs21.02 the other time and I had
the same error when trying to compile 2.1.99.
The compilation went through without problems, but the final kernel link
said it can't find the symbol __internal_memcpy (or similar)
Is there a simple fix for this problem or do I have to wait until either
the kernel or gcc is fixed again.
Are there any statistics about the quality of code generation for
alpha of gcc 2.7.2.3, gcc 2.8.1 and egcs?
Thanks in advance.
Stefan.
