Netscape works under EM86

Folks,

In an earlier E-mail I mentioned that I could get the Linux/386 version of
Netscape to start from the EM86 emulator. Unfortunately Netscape kept
respawning until it bogged the machine thus requiring a Killall. Fortunately
Larry Zimmerman sent out a script to the user group that he claimed would
fix this problem. I tried his script and it works!

                     My thanks to Larry Zimmerman!

Anyway the good news is that Netscape works under EM86. The bad news is EM86
is **slow**. Even with a fast chip like the Alpha, 80x86 emulation really
eats up the CPU time. Also I suspect the Maxtron Millenium card that I'm
using is relatively slow compared to the Silicon Graphics machines that I'm
used to (SGI boxes have the fastest graphics cards). I'm looking forward to
someone hacking out a Linux/Alpha version a Netscape.

What's a good graphics card for an Alpha/Linux 164LX box for doing real time
solid 3-D manipulations, i.e. Plot3d, TecPlot, CAD work?
