I would like to thank you all for your help.  I have a smaller and
reasonably good looking kernel.  I haven't actually run it yet, but I now
know the process.

Now, on the NCR 810 chip, what settings are valid for Alpha?  Some of the
config help hinted that not all 810 setting work for Alpha, and I want to
know what is still true for 2.0.3[03].  I am using a noname / UDB box
