First off I thought I would let you know that I gave up trying to configure
my seagate on my udb (sold it to a friend). Now with that hard drive out
of the way and some money in my pocket I am in search of a hard drive.
First off, I was considering purchasing a 1GB jaz drive (dont have enough
money for the 2GB) and connecting to the UDB and using the included 1GB
catridge as my hard disk.
A little background note, I am going to be using this system in a research
course next year where I will experimenting with parrallel processing over
a heterogeneous network. Since the box will stay at the school most of the
time I would like to from time to time remove the hard drive and all
precious data for safe keeping.
Ok back to my question.
Will this setup work? How reliable will it be? Any other concerns I should
know about?
Secondly, I would like to hear what everybody is using in their UDB? For
compatibility reasons if i decide not to go with the Jaz.
Thanks again,
Ben T. Eisemann
