Well the last kernel I compiled (2.0.33 w/2.0.32 patches) asked "echo messages
to com port? (or something like that). This could simply be answered "no".
I don't think that would stop MILO from echoing to the port however. Is it
possible for you to put your modem on another port? Or just keep it turned off
during boot?
