RE: RedHat Alpha an Teles ISDN Card

Hi,

The other thing to consider is that often the failure is with the
item that has not displayed anything, trouble is you can only tell what
that is by watching a good boot with the same kernel, which is often
difficult. I would however concur that it is a good move to check that
the IRQ and i/o are not clashing, and that the HiSax is the recommended
driver, although I too have only used this on a 486.

This message looks promising. But what about irq 15. Ae you sure it is
available on your box ? It might be needed by the EIDE controller, or by
some SCSI hardware, etc.I know that on X86, the teles support was
broken. It is now recommended to use the so-called "Hisax" driver. But I
have no clue whether this has been ported for AXP...Have a look around
on the web, specifically in Germany.
I use Hisax onan x86 with excellent stability and speed.
