I am running 2.1.103 here on an SX164 with no significant problems. You
shouldn't need to make another MILO (I'm using the updated milo from
gatekeeper, milo-sx164-980324) which I used with 2.0.xx .
I think your problem lies in your kernel build. (Wild guess, are you using
SCSI, and did you select the right driver? I think I had an error message
something like this when I compiled in the NCR53c7,8xx instead of the
NCR53c8xx driver.)
