A customer has reported a problem like this.
I told him to strip the kernel-image (before gzipping ;-})
and it worked.

But the problem is for shure not related to any CONFIG_... settings,
because the message comes from MILO while loading the kernel-image;
so the kernel can't be active at error time (!)

And yes, a special MILO for 2.1.x is not needed.
