MySQL on Alpha

Hi,

I want to use MySQL in our alpha linux 2.0.33  (RH 5.0)

I read at Mysql website that there is some problem with glibc, is this
fixed with the lastest version ??

I would like also to hear some feedback about Mysql on this platform.
