Hello Pablo ... find a copy of dBase yet? ;-)
I submitted enough patches to Monty to get MySQL to compile clean on Alpha
RH4.2, but it still does not run. I've been told that if you compile
gclib linuxthreads 2.0.5 or better it will run, but I haven't had the
chance to test this. Did you compile with GCC or EGCS? All the EGCS
snapshots I tried couldn't get past yyparse.cc in the sql directory -
after exhausting 800+MB of memory+swap it would sig 11. GCC 2.7.? would
compile it, but as you saw, segfaulted on boot. I'm told again that RH5.0
on Alpha is good - that's the glibc difference.
