One of the reasons it looks so pretty is that, as I understand, its
strongly tied to the GIMP developers - or at least shares some libraries.
GIMP seems to work OK under Alpha (although the copy with RH5.0 does seem
to have some problems saving).

I'm sure they will get it working on Alpha.
