Can't boot Linux with newer Alphabios

Hi Guys,
    I just upgraded my AB to 5.66-1 that I grabed from
dec.gatekeeper.com.  Not only did it change my splash screen it's also
making milo hang on boot. I've tried the newest version of linload and
images with no success. What happens is once milo starts up and gets to
"calbrating delay loop.." it hangs and I'm forced to reboot. I'm about
to go grab the older AB  so i can use Linux. Has anyone else expernced
this problem? I have a 533LX with a fire gl 1000 pro and   a 2940UW ver.
1.23 bios.

    I've been having another silly boot problem that happens while I use
NT. If I just reboot out of NT to get back to my OS loader and go into
Linux I get the same message as above. I have to power cycle the machine
if I used NT to be able to boot Linux. It hangs in exactly the same way.
Maybe it's not swapping the PAL code or the cache is flushing out
properly. Are there some tools out there that will let me trace the
problem? Thanks.
