You will not be able install anything that is not made for alpha.  Not
unless you are running an emulator i.e. FX!32.  You can't just get
office 97 for instance and install on alpha.  You need to install it
through FX!32, unless of course you got one that was made for alpha
specifically.

What kind of program are you trying to run?
Also you can send me private mail in response not on the list.... Or you
might get flamed for trying to talk about NT here.

		For those of you with NT running on your alphas, what do
you have to do
		to actually get NT software to install on the machine.
I successfully
		installed NT but everything I try to install complains
that it is for a
		different machine.....  Do I have to find special
versions of these
		programs? And if so, what is available?
