Yes, you need Alpha binaries.
Available? Most Microsoft products, such as Office, etc.
Many others. There is a listing on the Compaq/Digital site.
Also look at FX!32. It runs x86 binaries, at first in an emulation mode,
then builds local "equivalent" binaries of its own. After a few iterations
of running the application you finally end up running the "home made"
binaries it creates.
Still, running a 32-bit OS on a 64-bit platform is a bit silly.
