Which MILO and kernel are you using?

You're trying to Install via FTP, I'd guess, since CDs aren't out yet?

Do you ask for "Everything"? Do you try to "Customize"? Try asnwering
differently to these, say do just a minimal install with no customize,
ot whatever is different from the crashing case.
