man segfaulted all the time on my UDB/5.1 also. It turned out to
be a problem in the man.config file, about the second page in you'll see a
line that says
FHS
Just comment that out, and man will work.. albeit slowly..
I also had a bunch of problems with the kernel-headers, it helps
to un-install them:
rpm -e kernel-headers
(NOTE: don't type in the whole name of the rpm!! it took me hours
to figure that part out! you just want the package name, no version
numbers, etc.)
