I had the same problem, take the 2.0.35 source tree, apply the every so
popular "Jay's Kernel Patch" for the 2.0.35 kernel, then apply the updated
aic7xxx driver.
The aic7xxx driver I use that works awesome for me is:
aic7xxx-5.1.0-pre15-2.0.35.patch
