Alpha 164UX HELP Urgent!

Hello everyone,

I`m trying to install Linux on a server with an AlphaPC 164UX MB.
Everything  goes  ok  until  timezone setup. Setup reports an error
message and gives me three choises: Previous, Menu an smth else.
While trying to access Menu (anyth else), setup exits with a core dumped message...
In  the  log  file  i  see that /usr/bin/timeconfig -- tool
failed. (Thus the program is located in /usr/bin).
My Setup:
- Boot from a floppy - ldmilo.exe
  Kernel from floppy ruffian.gz
  Image ruffian.img from dec.com latest
  Setup from a SCSI Plextor CD.
  BTW My SCSI Disks detection is very slow... NCR53xxxx

Please help me to resolve this problem.
