Parallel port cards.

Has anybody played with any PCI parallel port cards? I am trying to get 
one up and running in my noname but when I enable the interrupt I end up 
just hanging. 

Just to make things more interesting I am running 2.1.124.

Any hints or suggestions greatly appreciated.
