hi,
i managed to get a DU license from my university.
However SRM still does not work.
I put a NCR810 based SCSI card in (64 and 32bit slots) but i do not get a
device for it (its a ASUS SC220 (no bios)).
"show device" only lists the floppy and the ide controller.
"show config" reports a "NRC810 SCSI controller" in PCI slot X.
So why is there no device ?
I read the SRM manual over and over. I still have no idea how to manually
create a device in SRM.
I get the same phenomenon with dlink ethernet cards. I plug them in, "show
device" does not show a new device, but "show config" reports a "DEC 21140
network controller" in PCI slot X. Same with a 21041 based card.
My hardware is a AlphaPC 164. Not LX, or SX, just _164_.
I bought it with ARC. Do i have to exchange a ROM or is there any other
way to get the 164 to work with SRM ?
best regards,
--armin
