kernel 2.1.129 on Alpha Miata

Greetings,

	Has anyone gotten the 2.1.129 kernel to run successfully on the Alpha
PWS Miata?  I tried to use it and there are some real problems:

	1) takes forever to mount local partitions
	2) blows up portmapper when attempting to mount nfs partitions
	3) does something bad so that after I ctrl-alt-del and go back to milo
and run a good kernel, the keyboard is disabled and the cd-rom flakes.

	These behaviors seem odd since the kernel is supposed to be reasonably
stable...

	I'm using RH 5.1 and just want to run Digital Unix shared libraries.
