Nope, this didn't work :-(. Still getting an error on the connect test.
At this point, I'm getting ready to give up. I've tried everything in the
manual (defines, patched thread libraries, etc.), and mysql just refuses
to pass the mysql-bench tests. Guess it's not ready for prime time....
