I'v installed RedHat 5.2, and this was impossible to me to use ppp because
redhat 5.2
(maybe 5.x) doesn't give the modules, at least on my sx164.
I think that ppp need a module to use vjc compression. I compiled 2.1.130
(with ppp support) and this worked.
Be the way, i noticed a stange hang while using ppp anf vjc compression
(wich is enabled by default): got a
kernel panic: skput: over: fffffc00004323c! 4 put: -1463 dev: ppp0
In swapper task - not syncing.
fffffc00004323c is in rcv_proto_vjc_comp.
Has anyone had theses strange kernel lock while using ppp?
