i myself would like to know where the bottle necks are BUT profiling on the
( many ) shared libs that go into making the JDK work in not available.
it should also be noted that the JDK is still built WITHOUT the short/byte
instructions available in the 21164 processors. I'm sure the byte code
interperter speed would improve.
