In theory, it should be. Why it isn't... I dunno. What I do know
is that as of the 2.1 kernel series, the cua devices are considered
obsolete.
[prophet: cvs-gnome]# cat /dev/cua0
tty_io.c: process 25464 (cat) used obsolete /dev/cua0 - update software to
use /dev/ttyS0
