For me RH5.1 was totally unable to install or upgrade using the
combination SRM/disklabel. The diskdwarf managed to screw my parttable several times, wrongly assuming
it was "uninitialized".
I managed to workaround by installing onto IDE and then cpio -p to the
SCSI partition. I did need access to another machine to patch the
disklabel (which I did save, BTW). Existing filesystems were not damaged.
If I could have got my hands on the dwarf it would have been beyond repair ...
At the moment SRM boots MILO, which boots vmlinux[.gz] , All on disk.
Machine is an old noname/32Mb.
